Welcome Your New Ragdoll Kitten the Right Way

It's natural to be excited about bringing home your new Ragdoll kitten. Experienced cat owners agree that you should have the following items ready to welcome your new kitty.
8 Ragdoll Kitten Must-Haves:
1. Cat bed - choosing the right bed for your cat is critical. Try to look for a cat bed that will fit your intended space but will also be interesting for your cat. You might also consult your vet, the previous owner or the breeder as to what cat bed they recommend.
2. Cat carrier - cat carriers are important for any traveling, including making trips to the vet for you and your Ragdoll kitten. They come in many forms. Some have soft pad lining and others don't. Some are made of hard plastic while others can be stylish in different colors and designs.
3. Cat food - before you bring your new Ragdoll kitten home, you should consult the vet, previous owner or breeder as to what cat food the kitty has been on. It is advisable to continue using the same brand so as not to upset the kitten's stomach and wean them from it later on if you plan to change the brand of cat food.
4. Water and food bowls - there are many varieties of cat food and water bowls to choose from. Some even have features like automatic feeding so that even if you're not around, you can be assured that your Ragdoll kitten won't go hungry.
5. Cat toys - your new pet should have something to play with. You will want to introduce one cat toy at a time to let your kitten get used to each one. Ideally, you want a catnip cat toy of some sort, a cat wand toy and maybe even a cat tunnel so they can play hide and seek.
6. Cat grooming tools and products - you should let your Ragdoll kitten get used to grooming by starting them early. Aside from a comb, brush, clippers and scissors, you can also get cat shampoo and other products to keep your kitten clean and smelling nice.
7. Cat tree/scratching post - to help avoid having your growing kitty destroy your furniture by scratching on it and playing on it, you want to look into a cat tree and also a scratching post. Your own Ragdoll kitten tree or scratching post will also help establish a proper place where your kitten can relax and just chill out.
8. Cat litter tray and cat litter - again, consult your vet, the previous owner or the breeder as to what litter your kitten is used to and so that your kitten knows where to go when it wants to poop or pee.
